Snow, Hello and Time

I thought I'd upload a image of the Woolford girls talking a stroll down by the watercress meadows by the ford in Alresford. the snow was beautiful down here but i am very glad to not be so cold all the time, sadly the blizzards have soon been replaced by showers of rain.

I have realized that i havent included the first project that we where given to introduce our new classes to each other. We where given a broad base of "Hello" so wich pretty much any direction to go i suggested we looked at colonialism, which was basicly europes first Hellos to the ret of the globe. The result was very pleasing and we produced a large map with pins and thread connecting the involvded nations and we where assigned a continent each.
This is the newest work at the moment with the theme being time in the newest project i am looking at human Evoloution and the impacts that that has intailed on the rest of the balance of nature on the globe. this is a plan for the cogs which i post before; i quite like the idea of creating a museum cabinet in a box similar to Joseph Cornells. but the most effective way of getting down such broad and lively subject matter is found imagry being collaged and then worked into. the same way as JC. at the moment there are disconnected thoughts floating around in my mind and i am finding it quite difficult to join them together but the more i work hopefully a more visual pattern will appear although this is very satisfactory at the moment and i might consider expanding this technique more into this project.

Clockwork

Been a while again, so recently I have been manually shaping my own series of cogs to create a peice where I can show the gradual increase in man's influence on earth over time by attaching clocks representive of the times and starting with pure sand and moving to red gravelly sand.
